Who does what
You provide geometry. The model provides judgment. We never ask AI for pixel coordinates — only what it sees and whether it's right.
Only when you tap
Analysis runs only when you tap. Nothing watches, meters, or judges in the background.
No bare scores
Every verdict ships with its ratio, reason, and confidence — never a bare score.
The rules
- Sizing: well-sized ink spans 75–90% of the body-part width (target 82%).
- Detail: fine detail needs 6–9 cm of span to stay crisp for years.
- Healing: the day provides context, not an automatic pass or fail. Healing phases overlap, and reported change over time matters more than a rigid deadline.
What we do not do
No diagnosis. No booking. No marketplace. No social. Instruments, not a platform.

Safety rules are applied in code and can override a model result.
Guidance, not diagnosis
Heal Check provides a visual observation, not a medical assessment. Fever, rapidly spreading change, red streaks, severe or worsening pain, or feeling very unwell means seeking prompt medical care regardless of the photo.
Account-based analysis
Heal Check combines visible features with the feeling and context you provide. The personalized observation requires an account and beans. For emergencies, do not use this tool.
Your photos
Heal Check, Pain Map, Try-on, Stencil, and Design Prep process photos for the action you request. Tattools does not retain those tool photos. My Journal is different: it stores your journal locally in your browser so it can work offline.
