Collect the ingredients
Separate what you like into subject, mood, line weight, density, and placement. Several references that explain different choices are more useful than one image to reproduce.
Test the silhouette
A design has to work at body scale. Check its overall shape before debating small details, then test how that shape follows the chosen part of the body.
Leave authorship with the artist
Use found tattoos as conversation starters, not production files. Ask the artist to interpret your ingredients into an original design suited to your anatomy.
Prepare, do not finalise
Background removal, contrast cleanup, and gentle curvature can make a reference easier to discuss. They do not replace stencil preparation or an artist’s judgment.
